Corking Clocks!

Clocks are a great way to accessorise your home, being not only practical but also available in a multitude of different designs.  At hunkydory home we have introduced a range of quirky wall clocks that are bound to make any wall a talking point.

Our designer Queen’s Head wall clocks available in Black and Orange have already caused quite a stir in the press recently.

Other funky designs include our Happy Hot Dog, Kitty Cat and Retro Owl.
Our latest additions are the fabulous handmade Splat Clocks - currently available in green or chocolate, but soon in more colours too… They are great for a contemporary or retro style interior.

We’ll be adding more funky clocks soon – as well as filling that space on the wall, they also make perfect gifts especially for those ‘hard to buy for’ people you know.

Stocking Fillers

I love Christmas, and I particularly enjoy creating fun stockings for my family.  Yes, the main presents are nice, but you can have lots of fun filling a stocking with goodies (and the compulsory satsuma in the toe).

Fabulous Matryoshka.

I’m loving everything Russian Doll right now! I’ve got my eye on some fabric covered in them which will make fantastic lampshades and cushions.  In the meantime take a look at some great versions we’ve found online (including some we stock ourselves).

 

These sets of dolls are made from felt and are beautifully hand stitched – we stock them on our website  and they make perfect gifts.

We’re starting to feel Christmassy now and love this Matryoshka Advent Calendar from thymbyl designs on etsy - it’s so unusual and very pretty.

Owl a twitter…

We just love owls and seeing as Halloween is just around the corner, we thought we’d focus on these funky birds for our next post.

Yummy scrumptious summer stuff…

I love this time of year, the days go on forever and (if we’re lucky in England) the sky is blue and sun is shining. It puts me in the mood for strawberries, ice cream and scrummy pastel colours. Here is a collection of things that remind me of the long summer holidays I enjoyed when I was little…

These vintage style English Rose Paper Lanterns from The Contemporary Home are so pretty and affordable too at £4.99 for a pack of 5.  They remind me of my nana’s house, she had lots of pretty floral bedding and wallpaper.

This strawberry tea mug is perfect for a mid-afternoon cuppa in the garden (it’s also available in pink).  I love the pastel colours in the cutlery set – both are available from Cath Kidston .

Ok, so I know these aren’t strictly for the home, but I just couldn’t resist these Dessert Erasers from Fred Flare – they are just delicious!  I remember collecting erasers when I was a kid and I know these would have been my prized possession!

If you don’t have much of a garden or just want to bring the outdoors inside these Flowers In A Can are great, they also make fab gifts.   Just pop the top add water and, with a bit of sunshine, you’ll have some pretty flowers to brighten your day.  Also from fred flare (I’m loving their website!).

Of course I couldn’t finish off without including one of my favourite lampshade designs from hunkydory home this Ice Cream fabric design is gorgeous and looks so lovely when it’s all lit up (that’s why it has pride of place in my little girl’s bedroom!).
